Shine Africa Foundation is a faith based, non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in 2006 by a group of indigenous community members who felt compelled to respond to the needs of vulnerable and marginalised people in the local communities particularly affected by civil war and poverty. Shine Africa’s main focus is to empower the local people, and create sustainable change. Our main programs are centered on public health, education, environmental management, livelihoods, food security and human rights.

The organisation’s strength lies in the international volunteers/interns and professionals so we welcome volunteers who can bring us fresh ideas, new skills and enthusiasm to our organization. Our projects are open for all volunteers, and we work hard to tailor a volunteer program to individual skills and preferences.
