Maranatha International Counselling Foundation (MICF) is a Non-Governmental Organization in Kenya which started its operations in 2007. It has offices in Nairobi (Southern House, Opposite Meridian Court Hotel) and in Thika (Zuri Centre, Thika). It has been running Drugs and Alcohol demand reduction programs in schools and among Commercial Sex Workers (CSWs) in Kiandutu, a slum area in Thika town, Kiambu County. Key Objectives include:



  1. Provision of appropriate information about alcohol consumption and drug use and effects multifaceted effects

  2. Empowerment of children, youth and commercial sex workers with relevant life skills to help them chose healthy lifestyles

  3. Facilitating the parents/guardians of youth coming from vulnerable backgrounds and Commercial sex workers with money generating activities to deter the target population from initiating alcohol or drugs consumption or continuation of the same.
