TP was a member of the Swedish Government’s delegation to UNGASS in New York in 1998 and a trainer in the “Drug Trafficking Module” for the EU applicant countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The Sacramento Bee reports that “more than 30 million tobacco farmers worldwide today reacted with outrage to the publication of new proposals to regulate tobacco farming by the World Health Organization's (WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), vowing to rally governments to oppose the measures.”
Strange, isn´t it? Tobacco farmers should be grateful that more than 30 million tobacco users might survive should tobacco farming be strictly regulated and, finally, outlawed.
